Fresh Baked vs. Made Fresh
Taste the made-fresh difference at the Village Bakery!
These days it's not unusual to see donut franchises, supermarket chains, and farm stands advertising that they carry "Fresh Baked" goods. Unfortunately, there is one important detail that is often missing from the "fresh-baked" offering. That is...
When and where was it made?
Baked goods can be - and often are - "baked" on the premises of retail establishments, but in most cases, the baked goods were NOT made on site. Instead, they were mass-produced by commercial prepared food vendors and sold FROZEN to retailers who will at some point, bake them off.
We don't call that "fresh!"
At the Village bakery, we make our products from scratch using the finest ingredients available without preservatives. You never have to worry about our products coming from outside vendors where they are massed produced mechanically and frozen for retail purposes.
Made Fresh Daily
As an artisan bakery, we proudly make and bake our pastries and breads every day, because our customers deserve and expect the very best. At the end of the day, our leftover, handmade bread is given to local charities or livestock farmers - that's why our customers will never see day-old bread for sale on our shelves. Come and taste the made-fresh difference at the Village Bakery!
